For enterprises expanding
Fractional CMO for enterprises: enter new markets, measured from day one.
Kotak Mahindra across Gujarat · Persistent Systems, end to end · Enago across Asia
A new city, segment or country needs more than a campaign. I lead the entry, keep one brand consistent across every location and measure each step of the funnel, alongside your in-house team.
Expansion rarely fails for lack of budget. It fails in execution.

Positioning that doesn't travel
What works in your home market doesn’t land with a new city, segment or country, and nobody adapts it.
A different brand in every location
Different vendors and local teams mean the brand looks and sounds different wherever it appears.
Funnels nobody can measure
Data leaks between platforms and touchpoints, so leadership can’t see what each market costs and returns.
Campaigns without a market plan
Spend goes live before the segment, offer, channels and partners have been decided.
No senior owner for the programme
The in-house team runs business as usual, and the expansion has no one accountable for the number.
You can’t expand what you can’t measure. Measurement comes before budget, and consistency before scale.
Senior expansion leadership, without a permanent hire.
What a Fractional CMO adds to an enterprise team.
For an enterprise, a Fractional CMO leads a defined expansion programme or fills a marketing leadership gap, working alongside your in-house team. I own the entry strategy, the rollout standard and the measurement plan, and report to leadership on what each market costs and returns.
| Option | Primary role | Best when |
|---|---|---|
| Strategy consulting firm | Delivers analysis and recommendations | You need a market study, not execution |
| In-house marketing team | Runs business-as-usual marketing | The plan exists and the market is known |
| Fractional CMO | Leads the entry, the rollout and the measurement | You need senior ownership of an expansion |
A Fractional CMO works with your team and agencies, not instead of them. Nothing is built that your team can't run once the programme ends.
When enterprises bring in a Fractional CMO
Four situations where senior, hands-on expansion leadership pays for itself.
New city or state launch
Offices, products or services rolling out across several cities at once, under one brand.
New segment or product line
A different buyer that needs its own positioning, channels and funnel.
International market entry
A new country with its own language, search engines, partners and expectations.
A leadership gap
A marketing head has moved on, or the team needs senior direction for a defined period.
Enterprise engagements work best with a clear expansion goal, an accountable sponsor in leadership, and an in-house team or agencies to execute.
What I lead
From expansion plan to measured results.
Six areas of work, each judged by what it does for the expansion, not the activity it produces.
Market-entry strategy and positioning
Who to win first, what to promise and how the brand should land in a new city, segment or country.
Multi-location brand rollout
One brand implemented to one standard across every office, city and touchpoint.
End-to-end funnel measurement
Tracking across every touchpoint with no data leakage, so each market’s cost and return is visible.
Channels, partners and launch plan
The channels, partners and sequence that carry the entry, with budgets tied to targets.
Vendor and agency leadership
Local vendors and agencies briefed to one standard and held to outcomes.
Leadership reporting
One view for leadership of what each market costs, returns and needs next.
My approach
A clear framework for building your growth engine.
01 · Diagnose
Two to three weeks inside your positioning, customers, channels, funnel, unit economics and current performance. You get a clear read on what is holding growth back.
02 · Decide
One strategy: growth objectives, ideal customer, message, channel priorities, budget logic and the KPIs we will be judged on.
03 · Build
The roadmap, the team and the vendors to run it, with tracking from the first rupee and a clear owner for every outcome.
04 · Lead
I stay on as your CMO: monthly targets, weekly decisions, scaling what works and cutting what does not, with results reported to you.
Expansion work backed by real outcomes.
Enterprise engagements described in scope, plus a consolidation project where the numbers are public.
Why work with me
I learned expansion from the inside.
At Crimson Interactive, the global company behind Enago, I led digital marketing for multiple brands across Asia from Mumbai, then moved to Seoul as Regional Head of Strategic Alliances and Marketing.
Every country carried its own growth target, every month: South Korea, China, Taiwan. I marketed in other languages, on other search engines, and through universities, publishers and channel partners. Since 2019 I’ve brought that discipline to Indian companies, including Kotak Mahindra’s brand rollout across Gujarat and end-to-end funnel tracking for Persistent Systems.

What working together looks like.
A clear first 90 days, then a steady rhythm of decisions and reviews.
These phases are illustrative, not guaranteed outcomes. The plan adapts to your stage and starting point.
Engagement model
A fixed-scope expansion programme of 3–6 months, or an ongoing Fractional CMO engagement. You get direct access to me and a regular review with leadership.
Team, execution and fees
Your in-house team and agencies execute against one brief and one standard; I lead the strategy, the rollout and the measurement. Programmes are scoped and quoted after a 30-minute conversation.
Frequently asked questions
Straight answers to the questions leadership teams ask most.
Do you work alongside an in-house marketing team?
Yes, that's the usual set-up. I lead the expansion strategy and the measurement, and your team and agencies execute with clear briefs and targets. Nothing is built that your team can't run after the programme ends.
Can you lead marketing for a new state or city launch in India?
Yes. Multi-city launches break in execution more often than in strategy. I keep one brand and one standard across every location, and measure each city's funnel separately so you know where to invest next.
Do you work on international market entry?
Yes. I led marketing across South Korea, China and Taiwan from Seoul, against monthly targets in each country, and I bring that experience to companies entering new markets in India and abroad.
How do you measure an expansion programme?
Before budget is committed, we agree the funnel, the targets and the tracking, from first visit to enquiry to sale, with no gaps between platforms. Leadership gets one view of what each market costs and returns.
How is an expansion programme priced?
A defined programme is a fixed-scope engagement of 3–6 months. Ongoing leadership is a monthly Fractional CMO retainer based on committed days. Media and execution costs are separate.
How quickly can a programme start?
The diagnosis can usually begin within a couple of weeks of our first conversation, depending on availability.
